General Admission Tickets
All ticket buyers must follow our new safety guidelines:
COVID-19 vaccination and face coverings are not required, but strongly recommended
We encourage all visitors to wear face coverings that cover the nose and mouth throughout their visit.
Stay at home if you are feeling sick
Please do not visit the Museum if you have a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or have had close contact with anyone who is confirmed or is suspected of having COVID-19.
Keep six feet apart
Review signage and ground markings throughout the Museum to ensure proper physical distancing.
Cover your cough, and wash your hands frequently
Hand sanitizer is available at touchless stations throughout the Museum.

The Whitney’s top priority is the health and well-being of our visitors and staff. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. We cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to COVID-19 during your visit, and all those entering the Whitney do so at their own risk as to such exposure. Read all our visitor policies.
We may share your name and email address with a governmental health authority should that information be requested for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes. If you do not want your name or email address used for these purposes, please email email@example.com.
Whitney staff and visitors have the right to an environment free from abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior. The Museum reserves the right to remove any person acting in an unacceptable or inappropriate manner.
Advance timed tickets are recommended for best availability. Members may use their membership cards for anytime admission.
Museum admission is Pay-What-You-Wish on Fridays, 7–10 pm. Advance tickets for these hours are strongly recommended.
General admission includes entry to special exhibitions.
Certain floors of the Museum will be closed to the public while Edward Hopper’s New York is installed between September 6–October 19.
Edward Hopper’s New York will be on view October 19, 2022–March 5, 2023. Timed tickets are now on sale.
Active military and veterans; staff from other museums; members of AAM, ICOM, CUNY, and Cool Culture; Reciprocal Museum Members; and press must book timed tickets in advance. Present your affiliate ID when you arrive at the Museum to verify your complimentary admission.
