NYC teens

Inspired by the artistic traditions of the Taíno people of Puerto Rico, artists Jorge González, Alice Chéveres, and Francisco González invite teens to join them for an evening of collaborative artmaking and storytelling! Teens will have the opportunity to learn about indigenous artmaking and popular crafts techniques by participating in a clay pottery workshop and a large-scale weaving project. González will also ask participants to share stories and poems at a reading session in the Museum’s theater.

González’s work will be on view in the exhibition Pacha, Llaqta, Wasichay: Indigenous Space, Modern Architecture, New Art.

This event is free. Refreshments and art materials provided. No RSVP required; bring a friend!
