Gavan Blau: Trolley Parade

SAT, Jun 14, 2014
12 pm

Orchestrated by 2014 Independent Study Studio Program participant Gavan Blau, this Flag Day parade takes as its basis the transnational migration of people and commodities. The parade draws on Blau's research with New York City's canning community, and offers a chance to collectively examine what it means to recycle the city, the community, and ourselves—in public space and with a sound track. Attendees are welcome to bring their own trolleys and carts.

The parade is free to attend. Please note: this event does not take place at the Museum; it begins at {TEMP}, 47 Walker Street (between Broadway and Church), and proceeds east to Brooklyn. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

The Museum building is accessible and has elevator access to all floors. Service animals are welcome. Learn more about access services and amenities.
