Reception and Contemporaries Tours of Hélio Oiticica: To Organize Delirium

Floor Five

Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patrons

Whitney teaching fellows will lead tours highlighting the interactive works in Hélio Oiticica: To Organize Delirium. This is the first full-scale retrospective presented in the United States devoted to the innovative Brazilian artist. Filling the Whitney’s expansive Fifth Floor gallery, the exhibition charts the evolution of Oiticica’s art from his early experimental abstractions in two and three dimensions to immersive environments and interactive sculptures which aim to transform the viewer into an active participant.

A wine reception will be available before and after the tour.
