Curatorial Project Assistant - Andy Warhol Film Project
Full-Time Temporary

A full-time, temporary position for a Curatorial Project Assistant is currently available working closely with the Assistant Curator, and the editing and writing Team for the Andy Warhol Film Project in the preparation, revision, editing and publication of manuscripts and illustrations for the second volume of the catalogue raisonné of the films of Andy Warhol. The end date for the position is January 31, 2020.

Responsibilities include: proofreading, reformatting, fact-checking and updating a major bibliography; updating and maintaining a data base of information about the Warhol films; maintaining and tracking 2,000 frame enlargements and photographs; exhibition research, loan forms and checklists; catalogue research (obtaining images and reproduction permissions; assembling back matter, etc.); compiling bibliographical archives; daily administrative support and other related duties.

Qualifications

  • B.A. in art history, film studies or related field (MA preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong writing, research, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Experience with manuscripts, fact-checking and proofreading
  • Experience with the film medium and digital imagery
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with TMS, Microsoft Office and Excel preferred
