Art Selfies are the best thing that happened to museums in long time
I disagree as well. What gives art its critical power is that it has no practical function. Once a work of art becomes a prop in the creation of your online image it serves to perpetuate that individualistic self-absorption and can no longer be critical of it.
This goes back to the subversion of the artist's (and very likely, the museum's) intent, but I think the elephant in this room is the creepy feeling we have that selfies and social media is dumbing down art and the experience of it...
