Guided Tours (Kindergarten - Twelfth Grade)
Museum Educator Guided School Group Tours

Building on the idea of the Museum as an extension of the classroom, the Whitney offers interactive guided tours for school groups (K-12). In the Whitney's galleries, teachers and students can learn about the works of art on view, discuss how art relates to their own experiences, and discover what's new and compelling about art today. School tours are available Tuesday through Friday 10am-5pm.

Costs
Tours are free for New York City public schools. Fees vary for New York City private schools and non-New York City schools. Reservations must be made at least four weeks in advance. During the summer, we will be accepting a limited number of tour requests from summer school and camp groups.  Please contact Liz Gillroy at 212-570-3626, or email liz_gillroy@whitney.org for more information, or to request a tour. Requests for fall tours will not be accepted until early August.

All private tours are conducted by Whitney Teaching Fellows, Ph.d candidates in art history. Tours must be scheduled at least three weeks, but no more than three months, in advance. To schedule a private group tour or to obtain further information, please contact Liz Gillroy at 212-570-3626, or email liz_gillroy@whitney.org for more information, or to request a tour.
