Although many Conceptual practices imply a dearth of labor, in their emphasis on the idea over its transcription into physical form, Jesús "Bubu" Negrón's mode of Conceptualism strives for something different. Predicated as much on physical endurance as on humor, his site-specific interventions wed personal politics of resistance to poetic structures and often form the basis for creating a sense of community through artistic collaboration.
