Jeanne Liotta was trained in theater and performance, working with groups such as the Living Theatre and Alchemical Theatre in the 1980s, and developed her interest in live performance and projected media in artistic collaborations with Bradley Eros (as Mediamystics) and the art rock band Circle X. In films, videos, performances, photographs, and installations made independently since 1995, Liotta continues to probe themes of existence and transcendence while inquiring into the ephemeral nature of her media.
