nWhitney verbal description tours provide an opportunity for visitors who a
re blind or partially sighted and their companions to experience the richne
ss and diversity of 20th and 21st century American art through vivid descri
ption and tactile opportunities. Please join us for a tour of Richard Artsc
hwager!\nRichard Artschwager&rsquo\;s first solo exhibition was in 1965 at
the age of forty-two at Leo Castelli Gallery. Since then his work has been
shown throughout the world\, and his enigmatic and diverse oeuvre has been
influential\, yet not thoroughly understood. This exhibition is a comprehen

mediums of sculpture\, painting\, and drawing and the first retrospective e
xhibition of Artschwager&rsquo\;s work since one organized at the Whitney i
n 1988.\nThe Whitney is located at 945 Madison Avenue at 75th Street. This
event is free of charge. Please call (212) 570-7789 or email AccessFeedback
