Q: Can I gain entry to the museum with my press ID/credentials or do I need a press card?

A: A valid ID that identifies your media outlet allows you into the museum (1 ticket).

Q: I am a member of the press interested in speaking to a Whitney representative about the museum/the collection/a current exhibition/other. How do I obtain an interview with an appropriate person?

A: Send your request to the Press Office.

Photography and Filming

Q: How do I obtain high-resolution publicity images?

A: Accredited media are permitted to download images from the Press Image Center. When you arrive at this page you will be asked create a whitney.org user account and to submit an online request for access to the image center.

Q: Can I film or photograph in the Museum?

A: All film and photo shoot requests must be approved in advance by the Press Office before they can be scheduled. Please send your request to the Press Office. News coverage that centers on current exhibitions and the Whitney collection will be given priority.

Q: How do I obtain images of past exhibitions?

A: Please contact Rights and Reproductions.
