Learn about what’s new and exciting in contemporary art at the Biennial exhibition! This Biennial features everything from sculpture, painting, and photography to dance, theater, and music.

The Biennial presents new directions in American art over the past two years. Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney introduced the Biennial exhibition in 1932, a year after the Museum opened. This is the seventy-sixth exhibition of Whitney Annuals and Biennials since then!
