Open Studio: Cauleen Smith

For families with kids of all ages

Sat, Apr 1, 2017  10:30 AM–3 PM

Location: Floor Three, Susan and John Hess Family Theater

Join us for a special Open Studio inspired by works on view in the 2017 Biennial! The hand-sewn words and symbols in Cauleen Smith’s banners represent issues that are important to the artist, such as prejudice, racism, and people’s inability to understand one another. Create your own large-scale banners using words, symbols, colors, and patterns that represent something that you feel strongly about.

See Cauleen Smith’s banners on Floor One and Floor Five.

Free with Museum admission—skip the line and buy your admission ticket online in advance!
