Members are invited to the new building before the Whitney opens to the public. America Is Hard to See, the inaugural exhibition in the Whitney's new home, is the largest presentation to date of the Museum's unparalleled collection of modern and contemporary American art. This ambitious installation utilizes all the art spaces in the Whitney's new building—over 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor galleries—to present new and challenging interpretations of art in the United States from 1900 to the present.
Active members are welcome to attend on one of three days:
Option 1: Monday, April 27, 10:30 am–6 pm
Option 2: Tuesday, April 28, 10:30 am–6 pm
Option 3: Wednesday, April 29, 10:30 am–6 pm
Open to all members. An active membership card is required for admission. For more information about member preview opportunities or to join, gift, or upgrade a membership, please call (212) 570-3641 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Whitney opens to the public on May 1, 2015.
