Family Fun: Painting and Architecture

Sat, Oct 15, 2016
2:30–4:30 pm

Floor Three, Laurie M. Tisch Education Center, Hearst Artspace

Families create hands-on art projects inspired by discussion and activities in the galleries. Carmen Herrera studied architecture for only a year, but it had a huge impact on her artwork. This month, explore the structural lines and bold shapes in Carmen Herrera’s paintings and the Whitney’s building. Then create your own architecturally inspired paintings!

This program has been developed specifically for kids ages 6 to 10. Siblings are welcome to join the group but must have a ticket.
