Feb 13–Mar 16
On these dates, enjoy reduced admission ($19 adults; $14 seniors and students) and see Fast Forward and Human Interest. Two floors are closed as we prepare for the 2017 Biennial.
On March 30, Biennial 2012 artist Elaine Reichek met with Youth Insights participants and other New York City teens. Explaining the connections her work creates between contemporary technology and age-old myth, Reichek attracted a crowd of museum-goers. But the embroidery workshop that followed her artist’s talk was for teens only. She demonstrated the basics of the medium, threaded a needle or two, and introduced students to an art form that was entirely new to many.
