2011 Read Me

YI Writers explored the connection between art and writing while looking at artist books by Raymond Pettibon and Carrie Mae Weems. Over the course of the semester, YI Writers created their own artist books, adding details and making entries as they were inspired by the world around them. YI Writers used a variety of materials, including markers, pencils, acrylic paint, tape, stencils, and stickers, to transform their books into reflections of themselves and their thoughts.
