2011 America: Remixed

Inspired by the work of artists including Jasper Johns, David Wojnarowicz, and Barbara Kruger, YI Artists explored iconography and political messages in art, incorporating different materials and techniques to alter the iconic images of the American flag and the world map. Using everything from markers to stickers, drawing to collage, YI Artists thought about how these images relate to their lives, sharing their own political messages in these remixes.
