Whitney Museum of American Art: 2010 Photography En Route

In fall 2010, Youth Insights Leaders organized an online photography contest inspired by American photographer Lee Friedlander and his most recent exhibition at the Whitney, America by Car. Friedlander spent ten years exploring the unique American landscape to create a fascinating series of photographs. Teens from across the United States were invited to share their photographs taken from different forms of transportation. From cars to boats to rolling haystacks, we received more than 150 amazing submissions from teens on their own unique routes. A special thanks to all of our contestants for sharing your photographic journeys with us!
