2010 Expression Through the Face, Gesture Through the Hand

Inspired by artist-in-residence Sara Vanderbeek’s sculptures and photographs, YI Artists created their own sculptures of their faces and hands. Using the casts of their chosen body parts, YI Artists worked with paint and wire to express themes of peace, happiness, perfection versus imperfection, voice, chaos, and internal struggle.
