While studying the exhibition Georgia O’Keeffe: Abstraction, the YI Artists created abstract paintings from real life objects including seashells, flowers, and fruit. The teens experimented with O’Keeffe’s techniques—such as cropping, magnification, and simplification—to create their own colorful abstractions inspired by the natural world.
