2009 Altered Landscapes

To begin their explorations of the theme of place, YI teens studied the Whitney exhibition Sites, featuring postwar works from the collection that address how artists create and transform spaces. Inspired by David Smith’s Hudson River Landscape, 1951, and Huma Bhabha’s Untitled print, 2008, YI teens created their own altered landscapes.
